From the Founder

Nākoa was born from a belief that strength is not loud.
It is steady.
It is disciplined.
It is rooted.
As a veteran and martial artist, I’ve lived in environments where brotherhood isn’t optional — it’s survival.
Where discipline isn’t aesthetic — it’s necessary.
Where tradition matters because it carries lessons written in sweat and sacrifice.
I created Nākoa to honor that spirit.
This is not just tape for your fingers.
It is ritual before the roll.
It is intention before the fight.
It is a reminder of who you are — and what you carry.
Every detail exists for the people who step onto the mats and choose the harder path.
The path of discipline.
Today, our tools serve martial artists — those who step onto the mats and test themselves with honesty.
But the warrior spirit belongs to anyone who chooses discipline over comfort and purpose over noise.
Nākoa was built to support that spirit and the community that carries it forward.
A portion of proceeds helps support military families and provide scholarships for kids to step onto the mats and discover Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Because the lessons learned through training can change a life.
If you’re here, you already understand.
The real fight is within.
And no one stands alone.
